The CO2 fractional laser is one of the most modern, technically advanced devices used in aesthetic medicine and dermatology. It was created to carry out skin regenerating treatments, smoothing wrinkles, and eliminating discoloration, scars and stretch marks. The fractional laser creates micro damages in the skin, thanks to which evaporation and coagulation of tissues in micro-thermal zones takes place. As a result, the skin produces more collagen through the activated healing processes. Collagen makes the skin firmer, tighter and healthier. The recovery period

Immediately after the treatment with the CO2 fractional laser, the skin is swollen, irritated, red and flaky, but after 7 days a significant improvement is visible. It is very important during this time to avoid direct exposure to the sun and large crowds of people to protect the skin from accidental infection. In addition, it is recommended to frequently cool the skin and use dermocosmetics to accelerate healing. For a few days after laser treatment, the skin will not look too bad. Although the procedure does not take long, the laser beams create thousands of microdamages during this time. There are so many of them that the skin is very swollen immediately after the treatment. In particularly sensitive people, there may be a slight but visible oozing of tissue fluid and blood. After a few days, both the swelling and erythema disappear, and a superficial scab appears in their place. The unsightly layer is completely peeled off after the next five days. Therefore, regeneration of the treatment site takes about seven days. It is strictly forbidden to expose the skin to additional unpleasantness in the form of sunbathing or applying cosmetics on it. This also applies to color cosmetics. Only healing creams, cooling compresses, and saline dressings are recommended.
