Broken capillaries on the face

Broken capillaries on the face

Visible blood vessels on the nose and cheeks, erythema and hypersensitivity

Bursting blood vessels, also known as spider veins, is a problem that can affect both older and younger people. They are correctly referred to as telangiectasia. The vessels under the skin constantly contract and expand as a result of stimuli such as heat and cold. When they expand permanently, they appear as red spider veins through the skin. Unfortunately, permanently damaged vessels cannot be removed with a cosmetic. Proper care only effectively prevents the formation of new ones. Laser removal is an effective treatment for broken capillaries on the face. It is a non-invasive method with the use of high-energy lasers that cause tissue overheating. During the procedure, the dilated vessel is irradiated with laser light, which is absorbed by the chromophore, i.e. hemoglobin, contained in the blood vessel. Vitamin K and vitamin C are of particular importance for the strengthening of blood vessels.

Dilated blood vessels are influenced by various factors, such as:

  • sunlight,
  • hormones, high presence of estrogen hormones
  • frequent use of the solarium,
  • use of the sauna,
  • exposure to wind, dry air and other unfavorable weather conditions,
  • sudden changes in temperature
  • strong coffee or tea,
  • alcohol,
  • spicy, spicy foods,
  • stress, lack of sleep,
  • certain medications, especially steroids.

The capillary skin is very delicate and sensitive, therefore it requires special care. Remember that regardless of the cosmetics you use, your skin also needs support from the inside.

How to take care of couperose skin?

  • Eat fruits and vegetables - the vitamins contained in them are the basic building blocks needed in the skin regeneration processes. A properly nourished skin on the inside is also beautiful on the outside.
  • Choose the right cosmetics - buy only hypoallergenic products, free of parabens and alcohol.
  • The best cream is one that contains active ingredients such as Vitamin A, Vitamin E and also Vitamin C.
  • Protect from the sun's rays. Capillary skin requires good protection against sun rays, so it is best that such a cream should contain SPF50 UV filters
  • Drink a lot of water! - delicate, thin skin of the face, tends to dry out. Nothing will hydrate your skin better than plain water. Drink at least 1.5 liters a day.
  • Vascular skin does not like granular peels, so if you want to exfoliate dead skin cells, choose the enzymatic ones. They will remove callous epidermis without the risk of irritation. For the sake of your skin, you should avoid, among others, washing the face with hot water, excessive exposure to UV radiation or stress. Give up hot baths and saunas.

So very important:

People with couperose skin should avoid sun, stress, sudden changes in temperature, contraceptives, hot baths, saunas, steam baths, red wine, coarse-grained scrubs and exfoliating products, hot drinks and spicy spices!
